Frequently Asked Questions
Who is ClearChase for?
ClearChase helps sole traders, tradespeople and small businesses across the UK chase unpaid customer invoices. Whether your customer is an individual or another business, if you’ve provided goods or services and haven’t been paid, we may be able to help.
How much does it cost?
Our Small Invoice Chase is for unpaid invoices up to £500 and costs £49 upfront, plus a 10% success fee on money recovered. For invoices of £501 or more, our Standard Invoice Chase costs £100 upfront, plus a success fee at the applicable rate shown on our Pricing page.
How long will you chase an invoice for?
Our Small Invoice Chase runs for up to 14 days, while our Standard Invoice Chase runs for up to 30 days. If the invoice remains unpaid at the end of the service period, we’ll discuss the available next steps with you.
Does my customer pay ClearChase?
No. Your customer pays you directly. ClearChase does not receive or hold the money owed to your business.
What if my customer can't pay the full amount?
Where appropriate, we can help arrange and monitor an agreed payment plan, keeping track of payments and following up if an instalment is missed.
We’ll need details of the unpaid invoice, your customer, the goods or services provided and any previous communication about payment. We’ll tell you exactly what we need when you contact us.
What information will you need from me?
Can you chase an invoice owed by an individual?
Yes. If you supplied goods or services through your business and a customer hasn't paid the invoice, we may be able to help whether that customer is an individual or another business. We don't collect debts arising from credit agreements or unrelated personal debts.
What happens if my invoice is still unpaid?
If your invoice remains unpaid at the end of the service period, we’ll discuss the next steps with you. This could include further chasing, continuing to monitor an agreed payment plan, or administrative support with the next stage of recovery.
